COVID-19 Updates

Outside Dining & Rule of Six

Following the government announcement on 5th April, we are very exited to be able to offer outside dining to our customers. Although all guests will be seated outside, there are still rules to be followed as per the government guidance. These are:

  • Meeting friends and family – this is still limited to the rule of six from any number of households (this number includes children of all ages) or in a group of any size from up to two households (each household can include an existing support bubble if eligible)
  • Table service – all of our guests will be seated and served outside; this means guests cannot order drinks/food from our bar area. We will also require payment upon every order. Our contactless limit is £45, regardless of any limit you have set on your smartphone
  • Face coverings – although these do not need to be worn outside by guests, you will be required to wear one when entering the restaurant to use the facilities. Please note that only one guest will be allowed to use the facilities at a time, unless you are accompanying a child or a person who requires assistance. Our staff members will continue to wear masks at all times
  • NHS Track and Trace – it is now law for all guests over the age of 16 to supply contact details. This can be done either by scanning the QR code using the NHS Track and Trace app, or via a form that we can supply. Please note that any details given via the form will remain confidential and will not be shared with any third parties (unless requested by the Track and Trace programme), or used for marketing communications from Charnallies Restaurant & Bar. All details will be disposed off after 21 days

It is reminded that all guests need to stay two metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble where possible.

The above guidance still needs to be followed even if you have received either one or both doses of the vaccine. Although the vaccines have been shown to reduce the likelihood of severe illness in most people, it is still unknown how much the vaccine stops COVID-19 from spreading.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above guidance prior to your visit to Charnallies Restaurant & Bar, please do pop an email to hayley@charnallies.co.uk or give us a call on 01255 688655.
